Young Little Wolf, a Northern Cheyenne warrior in 1876, and a son of Chief Little Wolf arrived late at the Indian village, their band having trailed Custer’s command for many miles. However, once their loyalty to the other Cheyennes and Sioux was established they were welcome allies in the Battle of Little Big Horn.

“Young Little Wolf was also a foremost Elk Soldier, another fighting society. In later years, he became quire religious and was a priest of the Peyote cult, officially know as the Nature American Church.” – Busby, MT 1936
